“Antipyretic” is one of the many battle themes from Final Fantasy: Tactics. The contrasting sections in Hitoshi Sakimoto’s original piece made it a perfect candidate for a piano arrangement in my mind. The first section is a climactic battle theme, while the second calmer section is a variation of the “Hero’s Theme.” This arrangement visits both sections twice. On the second time the first theme becomes more intense, while the second theme becomes even more subdued.
Much of this arrangement’s inspiration came from the official Final Fantasy Piano Collections albums and the later Piano Opera albums. It was a fun challenge to create my own take on a battle piece from the Final Fantasy Tactics soundtrack. “Antipyretic” is a great battle theme and I hope I’ve done it justice with this solo arrangement.
