Although Ivalice is a world where the saxophone was likely never invented, had it been invented, it likely would have been used by military bands as a bridge between brass instruments and woodwinds instruments. One can therefore imagine the march "Commander in Training" as a saxophone piece.
However, we know that saxophones have in modern times branched into decidedly more diverse musical settings, and so why can't that be true as well for our Ivalice march?
