The Koopa Troop's version of 'Formation Screen' is a jazzy twist on a Final Fantasy Tactics classic. It was arranged and engineered by The Koopa Troop's own guitarist Wilson McLeish, who wanted to capture the original feeling of 'Formation Screen', while exploring new ideas within the structure of the song. After establishing the piece verbatim, The Troop delve into beautiful melodic improvisations featuring Chelsea McBride on the flute, Chris Bruder on the piano, and McLeish on the guitar. Holding down the solid rhythm section are bassist Tom Altobelli and drummer Tyler Goertzen. 'Formation Screen' takes you from the battlefield into your imagination and back again with it's harmonic richness and the musicality of the performers!
