When listening to the Final Fantasy Tactics OST, Soldier Agency struck me as a very interesting little tune. It employs elements of march and traditional dance and embellishes them in interesting rhythmic and harmonic ways. The strict March and dance rhythms are developed by melodic and harmonic contextuallities frequently found in the music of my favorite composer Shostakovich. This gives the music both a strict as well as a wandering feeling, and I find that very interesting. My arrangement looks to show the work in its original beauty. I did not add or remove any notes from the arrangement, and did my best to preserve the rhythmic and harmonic elements present in the OST.
