Widespread bloodshed was brought upon the kingdom of Ivalice while the War of the Lions was leaded by Duke Larg, the White Lion, and Duke Goltanna, the Black Lion. This is a battle fed by conflicting intentions and manipulative means over the throne of Ivalice – or at least it seems so, before Ramza finally learns about the true intentions of the Church of Glabados.
This medley resembles the dark moments of Ivalice’s history, such as the inconsequential deaths caused by hatred and ambition, the machiavelic maneuvers conducted by Dycedarg, and the orchestration of events that would ultimately lead to the return of the Lucavi and St. Ajora.
I wanted to have purely organic and true recordings, and had the aid of talented musicians, namely ETHEReal String Orchestra (strings), Ian Martyn (keyboards) and Rob Martino (drums). I also recorded electric bass and 8-string guitars to create a heavy and evil arrangement. I hope you enjoy the music - and reflect about your own history. How many Durai Papers were lost in the real world? I wonder.
