When Neill Corlett extracted the PSF version of this track from the original game, he succinctly made the comment "Disclaimer: Not actually a waltz". I had also made the same observation when I received my first copy of the soundtrack. I decided at that moment that someday there must be a jazz waltz version. 19 years later with the help of a Trumpet, Trombone, Mellophonium, Flute, Navajo Flute, Piano, Bass, and Drums, this dream has been realized borrowing a wee bit of inspiration from Herbie Hancock’s “Maiden Voyage” (which is also not a waltz).
