Melancholy Pink Panther meets Teenage angst in this liberal retelling of the story of two young men whose rivalry knows no end, as they contend with love, hate and their domineering wet-nurse Edea Kramer. It has drums and bass and sax in spades, and keys and horns for those who stay. This is the story of Rival Dicks.
Smooth noir music is not something I traditionally write, but I love working with percussion and bass, so I started with that to build a smooth rhythmic backbone for the tracks melodic instrumentation. It reminds me of a cross between The Pink Panther and Lurking in the Darkness from FFVII which were the main inspirations for the track. I'd love to do more tracks like this.
