My favorite aspect of The Castle has always been the Baroque influences that the music has. In a soundtrack that has a very strong sci-fi vibe to it, the contrasting Gothic nature of The Castle stands out very prominently. Because of counterpoint sections of the piece, I wanted to use a medium that really highlighted each line of music, and what better way than a string instrument for the four major areas of the musical spectrum, where each instrument can be the star of its own range? Thank you very much to Michaela, Joe, Dan, Andrew, and David for contributing their outstanding talents to this arrangement.
