As a guitarist with a love for simplicity and slightly-dissonant chords, "Breezy" stood out to me immediately when I began looking for songs to remix for this project. I wanted to keep the guitar-based sound of the original while creating a bigger environment around it. I quickly found out that it's difficult to arrange a song that doesn't have much of a melody; any sense of a melody was woven together with the harmony to the point that it was inseperable. Once I went into it with that mindset, it began to get easier as I focused on creating an atmosphere instead of a "hummable" piece of music. Unlike the last Materia project, where I did my track solo, this time I reached out to the group for help recording. It blows my mind how incredible these musicians are. This track wouldn't exist without their help.
