While selecting a song from Final Fantasy VIII to arrange, Kirill was in love with the oboe and anyone who played it. Therefore, once he heard the oboe solo at the end of this tune, he knew that this was the track he wanted to arrange. The first half of this arrangement is a tribute to the original soundtrack orchestration of Love Grows. It is as close to a complete transcription as he could get. On the original Love Grows track, the first half is then repeated verbatim. Rather than doing this, Kirill opted to re-orchestrate and change who was able to have the melody as well as re-orchestrate the surrounding harmonies by inspirations from Pyotr Illich Tchaikovsky, John Williams, and Igor Stravinsky to name a few. Never did he realize that this would become the largest orchestration project he had ever taken on. Through help from classmates and a lot of motivation from Materia Collective members, he was able to complete the arrangement and record this undying classic from Final Fantasy VIII.
