Materia Collective is thrilled to release the follow-up to last year's hugely successful Final Fantasy VII Remixed album with *SUCCESSOR: Final Fantasy VIII Remixed*. This massive six-disc collection brings together over 150 composers, arrangers, YouTube personalities, and others who have prepared unique and imaginative interpretations of the beloved Final Fantasy VIII soundtrack originally composed by Nobuo Uematsu.
*SUCCESSOR* is officially licensed and available for digital download on Loudr, iTunes, Amazon MP3, and Google Play starting today, which marks the seventeenth anniversary of the game's North America release.
"After our debut album *MATERIA*, choosing Final Fantasy VIII as a follow-up tribute album was the next logical choice, and aligning the release with the game's release anniversary seemed poignant," comments Materia Collective founder Sebastian Wolff. "Final Fantasy VIII is musically distinct, and its eclectic mix of music suited our diverse skillsets. Materia Collective prides itself in the talent and dedication of its artists, so the 3-month album production cycle wasn't a problem. We hope listeners enjoy the result."
Materia Collective once again delivers a staggering array of musical styles, recorded and professionally mastered, including a rock opera, Galbadia's new national anthem, a flute choir, vocal incantations and smooth groovin' a cappella, a power ballad, string quartets, soulful jazz, and the ska cover of your lifetime.
