I have a bit of a history with Zombies. Being a native Pittsburgher, I grew up in the land of Night of the Living Dead, the stomping grounds of George Romero himself.  So impactful was the classic zombie on my friends and I that we wrote Evenings in Quarantine: The Zombie Opera as an homage to the classic slow moving stumbling beasties.  I love the silliness that is the Popcap game Plants versus Zombies.  Not only do we have a situation where you have you, the player, fighting against waves of undead with gardening techniques, but the player has chosen to live in that town and defend their home. When asked to do a PvZ song for this album, I thought what would the inner monologue be of someone living in that neighborhood. Why did they think it was a good idea to live there in the first place? Did they not read the fine print? Where does one purchase giant walnuts, purple plants with teeth, and spitters? Let’s find out, shall we?
