The idea for this track came from a scene in Ocarina of Time that we only hear about but never get to see – the moment when Ganondorf enters the Sacred Realm and goes on a rampage to kill all the sages, who protect the triforce and a dormant Link with their last breath. It's a dramatic arrangement, featuring a more intense orchestration, that shows the desperate moment for Hyrule. The Song of Time is the main focus of this song, since the temple serves as the hiding place for the Sacred Realm. You'll hear hints of it from the beginning, followed by its full development as a grandiose battle cry. "The Temple of Light, situated in the very center of the Sacred Realm, is the last stronghold against Ganondorf's evil forces. The Master Sword–the evil- destroying sword that you pulled out of the Pedestal of Time–was the final key to the Sacred Realm. […] However, you were too young to be the Hero of Time…." -Rauru
