Skyward Sword's intro cutscene gives us a glimpse of the origin story, and the big battle that took place between the light and shadow. I used the intro to Fellowship of the Ring as inspiration to model this piece; I imagined the ancient tribes of Hyrule being led into battle by the goddess Hylia, against the forces of evil, worshipers of Demise, Evil of Evils. I chose Laura Intravia to be the narrator to this event, acting as the Great Fairy and using the power of her voice to carry the tale down in history. In the climax of the song, you can hear her praying to Din, Nayru and Farore against the melody from the series' main theme. "Meet me in battle, and the thread of fate that binds us will be soaked crimson with your blood!" - Ghirahim
