I love the original track because of how it starts small, with a melody you already know well, and builds all the way to the climax at the end. As I noodled around with the chord progressions on guitar, I felt like I might be able to extend it even further in a sort of post-rock vibe. What ended up as equal parts Gustavo Santaolalla, Explosions in the Sky and Death Cab for Cutie, this slow burn of a cover is my tribute to one of my favorite composers and favorite songs from the game.
