This piece starts with the celli emulating the iconic air raid sirens found all over the Silent Hill games. The upper strings echo back and then the familiar backing rhythm of Theme of Laura begins in the celli. The viola mimics what the mandolin trills and the piece slowly transitions from a low fi setting into a more traditional string quintet sound. As the final chord fades out, you can hear radio static creep in. Maybe the nightmare isn't overall?
