I played Xenogears for the first time in 2015 or so, after hearing it's praises sung by my video game music colleagues for years. It certainly didn't fail to meet those standards! I was deeply moved by this game and the profound messages it carried. I've been a fan of Yasunori Mitusda's music for quite a long time now, so it was no wonder that I quickly fell in love with the soundtrack.
One of my friends who sang the praises of this game was none other than game composer Wilbert Roget, II. When I was tasked to arranged this track, I knew I wanted to have him on it in celebration of our mutual affection for this game. I'm thrilled to be able to feature his flute playing on this arrangement, and am deeply grateful to get to work with a musician of his caliber!
