With the insane time crunch for this song, Charles decided to try something more minimalist than his last Materia endeavor, and see what kind of soundscape he could create using as few instruments as possible. When listening to the soundtrack for Ori and the Blind Forest, he came across this song with a melody that would work very well for mellow jazz saxophone, with simple chords that he could easily reharmonize. This song was also an experiment in recording, as it was the first time Charles recorded with his microphone upside down, so getting the sound right took a lot of tweaking; John Montoya knocked the production of this song out of the park, and it wouldn't have been half of what Charles pictured it would be if it wasn't for him.
