Sonic Advance has a special place in my heart as a gamer and Sonic fan. After discovering Sonic via my cousin’s SEGA Genesis, Sonic Advance was the first Sonic game I ever owned. So, I thought it would be appropriate for the 25th anniversary of the Fastest Thing Alive (and the 10th anniversary of Sonic Advance) that I arrange atrack from that game. I chose Yutaka Minobe’s “Ice Mountain” for this album. The original song has a sense of carefully climbing up a cold peak, so I decided to crank up the intensity and give a different perspective on it.
