Martin Stig Andersen's menu music for Limbo consists of many small loops semi-randomly fading in and out. While I didn't imploy any kind of randomization in this arrangement, I wanted to convey the sense that the music was some kind of mysterious, breathing organism, and apply that to a large chamber ensemble, creating something hopefully new and engaging that pays tribute to the subtle, droning malevolence of the game.
