Dear to the Heart is a beautiful piece which incorporates the melody of Main Theme, composed by Nobuo Uematsu in Final Fantasy VII game. To impart a refreshing, nostalgic feeling, I have included Prelude, an iconic harp piece in Final Fantasy series, in my arrangement. Inspired by the piano collections from Final Fantasy series, I chose this track in the hope to produce a sweet, unique arrangement that covers a short version of Prelude and comprises of elements of hope, liveliness and harmony. While maximising the potential of harp techniques, especially glissando, coupled with sweeping orchestration, I hope to give a feeling of epicness particularly to the ending.

I would like to thank my collaborator, Kristin Naigus for putting in the time and effort to record her beautiful flute/oboe playing. I would like to thank my parents for the digital piano YAMAHA CLP430, without which, the arrangement would not be possible at all.
