Cid Highwind is one of my favorite characters in the Final Fantasy franchise, and his theme is one of my favorite character themes in the series as well, so it was a natural decision to go for this track. I always felt the original track had sort of a cinematic feel to it, so I took that as a starting point for my arrangement. I often like to explore a few other genres within my guitar arrangements, and for this particular one I put some emphasis into orchestration and electronic music, combined to give it sort of a "modern filmscore" feel. Added some guitars on top for the main melodies and I think it creates a good story as the track goes on. It gets pretty intense by the end!
