One of the underrated pieces from the soundtrack, I took that as a challenge to convey the beauty that it has within. Fun fact: I had to re-train myself on how I heard the piece, because growing up I had always heard the downbeat to be two 8th notes late (on the chimes), which made for a confusing first couple of approaches at the arrangement. I quoted this original interpretation near the end, so listen for a glimpse at how I heard “Mining Town” for the last 20 years.
