Holding My Feelings in My Heart” is a piece that is very dear to me when I remember FF7. When the music plays, Cloud is by himself and left to his own thoughts. To tell this particular story, I decided to use Aerith and Tifa’s Themes in the intro and throughout the piece to suggest Cloud’s conflicted feelings. I employed contemporary styles that sound like David Arnold to evoke this mysterious, lush sound. I would like to thank my fellow musicians (Andrew Steffen, Andrew Stern, and John Schultz) for performing/mixing this as this track is simply a midi without your brilliant talents, and to everyone part of the Materia Collective for letting me participate in such a brilliant project in addition to all who have been in my life.
