The score for Final Fantasy VII is one of the soundtracks that sparked my interest in video game music, and ultimately led me to pursue a career composing video game music myself. The fact that my experience is so common amongst video game composers is testimony to the influence of this music, and speaks volumes about how video game music can reach beyond its place in the video game itself.
With this arrangement I wanted to re-work the track using my own sound and musical perspective, but still retaining most of the elements and motifs from the original piece.
