I thought I might follow tradition with the last album and write an original composition. This time, I chose to write something more intimate. I thought of this piece to be a montage of two people falling in love and their life. The first part is two hearts finding each other, then they move in together, get married. The dark part before the fast build reflects the arguments and disagreements, then when the piano picks up, the couple finds love again, then raise kids, their kids graduate/grow up and have kids of their own. The last reprise of the theme leaves the couple at the end of their lives. The short length of the song is meant to give the realization that life is short and should be cherished.
