Recording Notes: There’s this annoying character named Edward. He’s a bard. He’s also the prince of some town. He’s in love with a girl, but the girl’s grandfather, the most powerful wizard in the world, doesn’t approve. Ends up being that his kingdom gets attacked, the girl sacrifices herself to save him, which makes the wizard even more mad. But they eventually have to team up to get revenge on the culprit, Golbez, and the evil Baron empire. This song is sort of a mourning/ode to Anna, the girl, now that she’s gone. So it’s really an emotional track, reflective, etc.
Track Commentary: Mustin and I knew out of the gate that this track had to be included. I love the harp work, so it was a natural fit on guitar. I love that William’s arrangement takes the somewhat somber original and makes it more tender and warm.
