Recording Notes: This song plays once earlier in the game within the giant of Bab-il (hence the name), but it’s known mostly for being the final dungeon theme. You find the crystal palace on the moon, and it’s an epic dungeon. Super long. Lots of really difficult bosses. Lots of hidden pathways. All the final equipment for Cecil (the crystal set) is here. Eventually you fight your way down to the core of the moon for the final showdown. So this is meant to be an epic climax as you scale the final fortress to get to the final bad guy.
Track Commentary: So, what is it, the Giant of Bab-il music, or the final dungeon? It first appears in the giant, hence the track title, and I think this one easily captured the attention of anyone who heard it. Driving, intense, yet cool, this is definitely one of the coolest dungeon themes around, and I appreciate William’s straightforward approach where I might not have expected it with the rapid bass notes.
