A Brooklyn-born composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist, Charles Ritz made his first mark online by arranging the video game music from his childhood. A part of the thriving video game music community since 2013, he loves to reinterpret these classic songs in new and unexpected ways. Inspired by projects like Multiplayer Charity, he has contributed to labels like GameLark, and directed his own collaborative album of Nintendo 64 arrangements, "GET N!: Celebrating the Nintendo 64".
Charles is proud to regularly collaborate with young, cutting-edge creative people. He has arranged and performed for Zoe Sparks, Madds Buckley, Emi Jones, and Dov Beck-Levine. In November 2021, as a part of Zoe Sparks’ band, he played Boston’s Royale venue, opening for soul-pop band Lawrence.
Charles also holds a bachelor's degree in Contemporary Writing and Production from Berklee College of Music, with a minor in Video Game Scoring. In December 2021, he organized a live concert featuring his arrangements of music from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, which was performed at Berklee.
