<span style="font-family: Arial; white-space: pre-wrap;">Andrew Steffen holds a Master of Music Education Degree from VanderCook College of Music (2014) and a Bachelor’s of Music Education Degree from the University of Northern Iowa (2009). He spends much of his days enjoying teaching Orchestra in the public schools.
As a Violist, Andrew is an active performer with Orchestra Iowa and has previously performed with the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony, the Dubuque Symphony, the Wartburg Symphony, Mannheim Steamroller, the VanderCook Graduate String Ensemble (Concertmaster and Principal Viola), and the Ivalice Trio, in addition to being an active chamber musician and performer for various social occasions.
In 2014, Andrew created a 2-man String Orchestra by playing Violin, Viola, and Double Bass and combining with Cellist Andrew Stern to create the ETHEReal String Orchestra. The ETHEReal String Orchestra teamed up with composer and arranger Josh Barron to debut on the “ETHEReal String Project”, an album released summer 2015 through Loudr. Since their debut, the ETHEReal String Orchestra has collaborated as part of the Materia Collective and it is their mission to spread the magic of high-quality String Orchestra-specific video game music arrangements.</span>
