Alex Hill, tubist, is a native of Tullahoma, Tennessee. He received a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Tennessee Tech University. Here he studied with R. Winston Morris and performed with the Tennessee Tech Tuba Ensemble. With this ensemble he went on several tours, recorded the album "Carnegie VIII: Evolutions", and in 2014 performed with the ensemble at Carnegie Hall. He then went on to receive his Master's Degree in Music Performance from Illinois State University. He studied with Dr. Andrew Rummel and recorded two CDs with the Illinois State Wind Symphony. Alex is currently a freelance musician, tuba recording artist, and teaches low brass students throughout middle Tennessee. He attributes the start of his love for video game music and for the tuba in 2003 when he received the CD "Super Smash Bros. Melee: Smashing…Live!" in a copy of Nintendo Power.
